Local Immigration Integration and Inclusion Grant
The City of Pomona was awarded the Local Immigration Integration and Inclusion Grant by the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. The grant supports the development and implementation of a research program focused on the integration and inclusion of immigrant residents—both documented and undocumented. To carry out this work, the City has partnered with more than 15 local community-based organizations and stakeholders, and established two committees—the Immigration Advisory Board and the Immigration Task Force—to collect qualitative data and community feedback. This data will be used to develop an action plan outlining how Pomona can better support its immigrant residents. If you have any questions related to this grant, call Stephanie Wells at (909) 620-3740.
