The City of Pomona (City) is in the process of preparing its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) in compliance with the California Urban Water Management Planning Act (California Water Code Section 10610 et seq.). The UWMP is required to be updated every five (5) years.
The 2025 UWMP evaluates the City’s water supplies, demands, and reliability under normal, dry, and multiple dry year conditions. The UWMP also includes the City’s Water Shortage Contingency Plan, which outlines actions the City will take to prepare for and respond to water supply shortages.
The City has prepared a Public Draft of the 2025 UWMP and WSCP, which is now available for review. The documents will be considered for adoption by the Pomona City Council following a public hearing scheduled for May 18, 2026.
