Project Description

The City is excited to provide an update on the project at Civic Center Plaza! The project includes restoring the public water fountain so it can be enjoyed again and beautify the Civic Center. We are looking forward to introducing some fantastic new amenities, such as an all-abilities playground, a maintenance building, and a restroom facility. At this point in time, the contractor has completed clearing, demolition, and most rough grading. The contractor is currently working on underground lines and survey layout for the next steps in the construction process.

This park is perfectly located near the Library, City Hall, and the Courthouse, right in the heart of our community. By adding these new features, we hope to make the area a gathering spot for families, promote equity, and encourage more community activities. Ultimately, we want to improve health and overall quality of life while making it easier to access the library and government services. This project is primarily funded by grants, and construction is well underway and planned for completion by early 2026. We can’t wait to see families enjoying this revitalized space when completed!
