The City of Pomona has been protecting trees in historic districts since the earliest historic districts. The Tree Preservation program is made up of 2 components, the Program and the Guidelines.  The City has just recently updated its guidelines.

In addition, the City's Urban Forestry Manual has a street tree list for the entire City.  We have compiled the streets in our historic districts.

2025 Historic District Tree Removals

 

The City of Pomona evaluates street trees on a yearly basis.  This year it identified 60 dead trees in our historic districts that need to be removed.  Below is the list of trees that need to be removed.  New trees are planned to be replanted in late April/early May.
