Project Overview
The Pomona Complete Streets and Quick Build Project will improve the city’s streets to be safer for the entire community—regardless of age and ability—whether they walk, bike, roll, drive, or take transit. This project will update zoning code regulations to implement safer street designs based on community feedback.
This project will also feature a temporary street improvement called a “Quick Build” to test new safety features and obtain community feedback. Quick Builds are temporary, so they can be installed and removed quickly. If the community likes the new safety features, they can become permanent.
Stakeholder feedback will be collected throughout the length of the project to inform code updates and prioritize safe street designs supported by the community.
What Makes a Street “Complete”?
Complete Streets are designed to prioritize safety for everyone using the road and sidewalk.
They feel inviting and convenient for walking, biking, rolling, and driving regardless of someone’s age and ability.
