Building safer neighborhoods takes all of us. There are many ways residents, organizations, and community members can stay connected and take part in violence prevention efforts in Pomona.

Pomona Community Action for Peace (CAP)
👥 About CAP
Pomona Community Action for Peace brings residents, partners, and community leaders together to support safety, healing, and positive opportunities in our neighborhoods.
Events & Activities
Ongoing Pop Up Outreach
We host regular pop up events on the first and third Thursday of each month. Locations vary throughout the city and provide opportunities to connect with service representatives from community partners and OVPNW staff.
Annual Peace Walk
Each October, we bring the community together for a Peace Walk to raise awareness, honor lives impacted by violence, and promote unity and healing. Event details are shared in advance on our website and social media.
Monthly Community Pull Ups
A resource fair style event where community-based organizations provide information, services, and support. These gatherings also feature music from a DJ, promotional giveaways, and free food, creating a welcoming space for residents to connect and learn about available resources.
If you're interested in participating or staying updated, reach out to Jaime Espinoza at jaime@projecthopeca.org to join the mailing list and receive the interest form.
